What you'll do

Own the models behind the Astronomy simulations: Mercury's orbit under Newtonian gravity and general relativity, the eight-planet observatory built from JPL Horizons states, and light traced through Schwarzschild and Kerr spacetimes. Write the independent reference integrations each browser version is checked against, set the acceptance checks, and record where a model stops being valid. Write the scientific notes for every version, and start a new version when the physics changes.

What we look for

You have written numerical integrators and checked them against analytic results, and you can explain the error budget. General relativity at the level of geodesics and post-Newtonian corrections. Python and its scientific stack; enough GLSL or JavaScript to read the code that runs in the browser.

What we offer

Models that ship as public, versioned pages with their scientific notes, and earlier versions that stay online so every change can be compared.
