Astronomy
Compare Newtonian gravity and general relativity in the Solar System, and trace light around black holes. Each version records the model it uses and what changed.
Astronomy and Quantum Worlds
Explore physical models through interactive simulations and learning tools. Our current work covers astronomy and quantum physics.
About Midkernel Physics
Midkernel Physics develops browser simulations in Astronomy and quantum physics, alongside the Quantum Worlds learning app.
How we work
Make methods, assumptions and results inspectable. In Security, that includes the run trace; in Physics, it includes model notes and validation.
Published simulation versions keep their scientific notes and frozen releases so changes can be compared. The notes describe assumptions, validation and the limits of each model.
The Physics labs are free for personal and classroom use. Their models are educational tools, with the assumptions and limitations described alongside them.
Current work
Compare Newtonian gravity and general relativity in the Solar System, and trace light around black holes. Each version records the model it uses and what changed.
Explore orbitals, scattering and spin in the browser. An offline app for iPhone and iPad is in beta testing.
Research
Midkernel's research articles and technical notes are collected on the shared Research page.
